question
Anyone have any idea how one might go about finding out if any state has a standing law on the books, unenforced though it may be, regarding witches or witchcraft?

(I'm not planning on bringing any charges against anyone, I just had a story idea.)

Usually a state will have their on-the-book laws in a searchable format; for example: http://www.leginfo.ca.gov/calaw.html

My city had a long text document of everything, which is how I ran across our regulations and licensing procedure for soothsayers, Oriental mystics, and necromancers. XD
